Who Created SuperSkills?
About Rahim Hirji
I built SuperSkills after twenty years of watching organizations struggle with the same pattern: better technology, unprepared people.
I founded EtonX, an EdTech venture that scaled to globally before being acquired by Eton College. I led international growth at Quizlet and have held executive roles at HarperCollins, TeacherMatic, and Avallain. From early-stage startups to global platforms, I've seen how companies evolve and where they stall, when capability can't match technological ambition.
SuperSkills emerged from that experience: a practical system for leaders facing decisions about AI, capability, and the future of work. It's now the foundation of my keynotes, advisory work, executive coaching, and my forthcoming book SuperSkills (2026).
I also write Box of Amazing, a newsletter exploring technology, human behaviour, and work redesign.
The Problem
Organizations upgrade their systems faster than they upgrade their people. AI automates tasks before leaders can redesign roles. New tools arrive before teams develop the capability to use them well. The result: expensive technology, unprepared people.
SuperSkills addresses this gap by focusing on the human capabilities that become MORE valuable as AI advances through judgment, influence, strategic thinking, and adaptive learning.
Three Pillars:
1. Task Unbundling
Breaking roles into tasks that should be automated, amplified by AI, or kept uniquely human. This creates clarity about what humans should actually do.
2. Capability Design
Building the skills, judgment, and strategic thinking that compound over time rather than decay. This ensures people grow more valuable as technology advances.
3. Strategic Decision-Making
Giving leaders frameworks to make confident calls about AI adoption, work redesign, and operating models without reactive chaos.
